What a fantastic day we’ve had celebrating Pancake Day across the whole nursery! 

𝘽𝙖𝙗𝙮 𝙍𝙤𝙤𝙢

Our youngest learners got creative making their very own pancake faces! 🥞  The babies enjoyed sticking their pancake features onto paper, exploring different textures and developing their early fine motor skills. There were lots of smiles as they created their masterpieces and joined in with pancake-themed songs and stories.

𝙏𝙤𝙙𝙙𝙡𝙚𝙧 𝙍𝙤𝙤𝙢

Our toddlers have been busy mixing, pouring and whisking in their pancake tuff trays! They practiced their fine motor skills, developed new vocabulary and explored early maths concepts such as full/empty and more/less. We talked about different toppings – and best of all, the toddlers enjoyed eating some delicious pancakes for their snack! 🍓🥞 

𝙋𝙧𝙚𝙨𝙘𝙝𝙤𝙤𝙡 𝙍𝙤𝙤𝙢

Our pre-schoolers took their learning even further by identifying ingredients, reading labels and talking about how pancakes are made. They used fantastic imaginative play to create their own pancake shop experiences, building confidence, communication and teamwork skills.

It’s been a wonderful day full of sensory exploration, language development, creativity and – most importantly – lots of fun! 😍
